Faculty of Sharia

The Faculty of Sharia was established in 1398 (2019) within the Higher Education Institute of Daikundi, comprising two departments: (Jafari Jurisprudence and Islamic Education). The Department of Islamic Education, for the first time in 1399 (2020), enrolled (29) students in both male and female sections. In the first year, the department had (2) academic staff members, which increased to (3) in the year 1400 (2021), and another member was added in the year 1401 (2022), making a total of four academic staff members. Currently, the department has (94) students, consisting of (32) male and (62) female students. This department has not yet graduated any students and currently has students up to the third year.

The Islamic Education program is an active academic unit within the Faculty of Sharia, aimed at training and educating knowledgeable individuals and specialized staff in the fields of judiciary, fatwa, preaching, invitation, and Islamic sciences. It provides high-quality education aligned with the needs of the community and the job market.

Mission of the Department of Islamic Education

The Department of Islamic Education aims to enhance and advance the professional knowledge of students, providing opportunities to acquire specialized knowledge in Sharia and related sciences based on community needs.

Educational Objectives of the Islamic Education Program

The Islamic Education program is an active academic unit within the Faculty of Sharia with the goal of training and educating knowledgeable individuals and specialized staff in the fields of fatwa, teaching Sharia sciences, preaching, counseling, and adjudication. This includes understanding Tafsir and Quranic sciences, Hadith and its sciences, jurisprudence, principles of jurisprudence, and judiciary, prosecution, defense advocacy, and general rights in a standardized curriculum approved by the Ministry of Higher Education through specialized staff.

Expected Outcomes of the Islamic Education Program

Acquiring Sharia, jurisprudential, and legal knowledge, and a precise understanding of the high concepts of Islamic Sharia and the country's laws.

Gaining practical skills to better apply Sharia rulings and acquiring skills related to the judiciary, prosecution, defense advocacy, and other Sharia and legal institutions.

Developing professional skills to evaluate how national laws align with Islamic beliefs.

Ability to analyze philosophical aspects of Sharia and legal discussions, compare and contrast various topics in the light of Islamic Sharia, national laws, and accepted norms.

Gaining skills in interpreting, analyzing, and moderating the Quran and Sunnah, familiarizing oneself with correct methods of Quranic interpretation, hadith extraction, and analyzing legal texts, as well as logical and legal reasoning.

Acquiring skills to promote moderate religious guidance, legal awareness, and teaching values and Sharia issues.

Ability to compare different world religions, critique religious pluralism, and analyze the doctrinal principles of Islamic theological schools.

Definition of Graduates of the Islamic Education Program

The Islamic Education program at the Faculty of Sharia of the Higher Education Institute of Daikundi aims to develop specialized and professional staff for (judicial institutions; prosecution; defense advocacy; endowments; advisors to executive institutions, Sharia and legal advisors, university teaching, provincial and district supervision, policy-making centers, civil institutions, and legal advisors in private institutions and other public sectors). Accordingly, a graduate of the Islamic Education program is someone who has completed at least (136) credits in a four-year study program (8 semesters) and meets the following conditions in terms of knowledge, skills, and conduct:

Knowledge: The graduate should be able to understand Islamic principles and beliefs, appreciate Islamic and national values, resolve conflicts peacefully, strengthen social, familial, and legal relationships, comprehend fundamental issues, jurisprudential and legal matters, and manage public institutions effectively. The graduate should perform tasks excellently, have self-confidence, prioritize national and Islamic values, and possess a scholarly and ethical character to be recognized as a specialized staff member in the community.

Skills: The graduate should have knowledge of international languages, familiarity with Arabic language rules, management capacity, proficiency in office programs and computer applications, ability to organize educational programs and be a good speaker, and problem-solving skills in relevant areas.

Conduct: The graduate should have acquired respect for Islamic and national values, good morals, academic conduct, religious and national loyalty, and respect for religious, legal, and human values, ensuring justice in all matters and commitment to the homeland and duties.

Career Field for Graduates of the Islamic Education Program

Graduates of the Islamic Education program can work in the judiciary, prosecution, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Hajj and Endowments, education, bar associations, universities, scientific and cultural institutions, legal and religious advisory roles in the executive branch, legal and Sharia advisory roles in banks and private sectors, and generally in administrative and political positions.

It is also responsible for the basic task, as during the recent years, the leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education  the Islamic Emirate has tried and have made unrelenting efforts to rebuild the higher education system for the qualitative growth of educational institutions so that higher education institutions can respond to the growing needs of society and reach the level of the third generation of universities that advanced societies have achieved, without a doubt Many of the country's educational institutions remained, except for the first generation, which are basically degree-oriented, while today some of the country's educational institutions have reached the second generation (science-oriented) and with the current situation, we will soon witness the third generation; Or the production-oriented generation, we will be the universities of the country, which will play an essential role in production, strengthening the industry and economy of the country and will cause a positive change in people's lives. Undoubtedly, the efforts of the leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Islamic Emirate have not been ineffective, and today we are witnessing the qualitative change and development of the country's higher education institutions in accordance with the previous years, although in quantitative terms, the educational institutions of the country and in accordance with that, the increase of educational programs in 20 years Recently, they have had a little excessive growth, but we must not forget that only dealing with the quantity cannot bring us to the basic goals, which are training and providing human resources based on the demand of the labor market and the needs of the society. The ministries of higher education and educational institutions of the country have been placed, attention has been paid to the quality of higher education institutions, and as a result of the efforts of the relevant stakeholders, valuable steps have been taken to pay attention to the quality of higher education institutions, which has been a remarkable success. Among these achievements can be the creation of independent posts of the Quality Promotion and Accreditation Directorate, drafting the bill of duties of quality promotion and accreditation committees, implementation of scientific program review (APR), implementation of financial support, implementation of infrastructure projects, support of publications and magazines. Scientific and sending professors to master's and doctorate scholarships mentioned that these steps to achieve qualitative strategic goals can imply the scientific progress of educational institutions.

 

      Daikundi Institute of Higher Education, located in the center of Daikundi Province, Nili City, is one of the newly established and growing institutions in the country, and considers itself committed to the implementation and implementation of quality assurance programs to achieve the high goals of the Ministry of Higher Education and towards the standard Sazi strives in academic, educational, research and service programs to receive national and international credit as a standard educational institution, with this view, the leadership of the Higher Education Institute and the honorable Directorate of Quality Promotion and Accreditation have honestly tried to ensure that all departments and adjust the programs of the higher education institute based on the criteria of quality improvement and crediting; to be ready for review by the review board.
